Glasgow based Russell Timber Technology is one of the UK’s leading Sub-Contractors offering Design, Manufacture, Supply and Installation of precision engineered timber and alu-clad windows and doors for large scale new build and refurbishment housing projects.
As a result of continued growth and a very healthy order book, they are recruiting for a Junior Architectural Technician for their office in Whiteinch, Glasgow.
This is a busy office based role where you will be responsible at a technical level to ensure connection details, elevations and layout drawings are correct prior to sign off, manufacture and installation.
The department uses AutoCAD Lt to update drawings with new window and door set section details and elevations and resolve any project specific issues prior to production and, ultimately, installation on site. It is therefore essential you have very strong Autocad Lt experience as a technical assessment is part of the recruitment process.
The position would suit a recent graduate with an HND/Bsc in architectural design (or equivalent) with work experience, preferably within a technical environment and ideally utilising your CAD knowledge. Experience of windows/doors and current UK building regulations is an advantage.
Hours are Mon-Fri 8am-4pm with 29 days holiday (including stats)
