Trade Counter Sales Assistant, Glasgow
The Saw Centre are a well-established family business based in the South side of Glasgow in addition to a successful machinery sales and service centre they run a busy trade counter from their head office location on the south side of Glasgow.
Recruitment at Rainbow HR are delighted to be working with them to recruit an additional Trade Counter Sales Assistant to add to the existing team.
The trade counter operates as an industrial wholesale and supply company for businesses, tradesmen and DIY enthusiasts. They are an authorised Honda Power Products dealer and Stihl dealer service and repair centre. They operate an impressive state-of-the-art Vollmer CNC factory which allows them to service and sharpen saw blades, regrind tools and manufacture solid carbide tools.
Overview:
They are seeking a friendly and enthusiastic sales assistant to help with the day-to-day operations of a busy trade counter. The Saw Centre are an authorised Stihl and Honda dealer so any experience with these brands would be an advantage as would experience in a similar trade counter.
Responsibilities:
- Dealing with customers and sales enquiries
- Booking in power tools for repair and associated admin
- Ordering/receiving parts
- Booking in sharpening jobs
- Keeping the shop fully stocked, clean and tidy
- Merchandising product ranges in the shop
This is a full-time role over Monday to Friday and pays a salary up to £24,000 (depending on experience), overtime is payable for occasional Saturday work and a bonus scheme should take earnings to circa £27,000.
There is a contributory pension scheme (5% from us and 4% contributed by you).
