Our client is Sealco [Scotland] Ltd they are a highly successful family run business; one of the leading independent window and door hardware distributors in the UK.

They stock a comprehensive range of locks, window hardware and door components from leading manufacturers such as Yale, Trojan, UAP, Security, Hoppe, Maco, AGB, Reisser and many more, with an impressive line of almost 5,000 products.

For the past 25 years they have been servicing the window and door sector, with commercial and domestic customers, and are now looking to expand the team with the appointment of a Inventory Controller.

The role is based out of Falkirk in a modern office with ample free parking. You will be part of a small and friendly team, with a great value led culture and a business with a very strong reputation.

The main requirements of the role are:

  • Review and order stock lines to ensure customer requirements are met
  • Managing all incoming and outgoing stock such as receipts and dispatches
  • Keeping and verifying daily stock levels
  • Generating stock demand and forecasting reports
  • Analysing and resolving problems in the supply chain
  • Performing physical cycle count of inventory
  • Maintaining accurate records of all incoming and outgoing inventory
  • Liaise with external and internal sales teams to manage stock levels
  • Ensure incoming goods are booked into stock and all supplier invoices are matched
  • Review and develop ordering parameters on OrderWise to ensure optimum stock levels

What we need from you;

  • Strong problem-solving skills and an ability to prioritise tasks
  • Strong planning and organisation skills.
  • Excellent communication skills who can confidently work with colleagues and suppliers
  • Ability to work with limited supervision and using own initiative to complete tasks

Sealco have invested in a new stock control system -  OrderWise - and whilst experience of this would be an advantage it is not essential as full training will be given, knowledge of any other stock control system would also be useful, however a good understanding of Excel is an absolute must as is experience in a similar role.

The standard working hours are Monday – Friday. 8.30 am - 5 pm

Salary is negotiable and dependant on experience.
