Cifas is a fraud prevention service based in London, run as a not-for-profit membership association. The business represents organisations from across the public, private and voluntary sectors and currently has over 700 members. Cifas has a stated mission “to detect, deter and prevent fraud in society by harnessing technology and working in close partnership with the member organisations”. 

Under the direction of a highly inspirational Chief Executive, the business is well underway on the delivery of a 5-year business plan, which will be transformational and will underpin ambitious long term growth targets.

We are delighted to be working with Cifas to recruit a Marketing Executive, reporting to the Head of Marketing & Communications. This role is truly “work from anywhere” (including outside the UK).

This is a key hire for the company, with the main purpose of-

  • delivering marketing activity to support their business and marketing strategies, drive audience reach and engagement, and support the drive for revenue
  • creating innovative marketing campaigns and engaging digital campaigns, and the production of high-quality content in print and digital formats
  • researching and managing events and speaker opportunities, ensuring these are aligned to the Cifas marketing strategy

We are looking for someone with a degree in marketing / communications or equivalent qualification, with at least 2 years commercial experience in a similar role and you will need to demonstrate experience of selecting, designing, marketing and managing events and campaigns and creating marketing materials

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Develop and deliver marketing campaigns that support the marketing strategy, learning and events
  • Build strong and collaborative relationships to support engagement with key audiences and stakeholders
  • Engage and inform members with Cifas products, systems and data, maximising their experience as members
  • Create marketing campaigns using a range of channels and tactics, including organising events, webinars, mail campaigns, social media, and paid-for activity
  • Research and oversee the organisation of all events and speaker opportunities
  • Create marketing assets and collateral to drive revenue growth, ensuring tone of voice and messaging is on-brand and aligned with all communication channels and business values
  • Optimise the marketing/lead funnel for leads, ensuring opportunities are followed up
  • Analyse lead sources through Cifas’ CRM, advising on improvements for lead generation, including carrying out regular analysis of marketing and campaign activity
  • Ensure marketing activity is delivered on time and on brand and is focused on delivering high-quality leads
  • Support in the organisation and delivery of Cifas events and forums to maximise lead generation, expenditure and return on investment

We prefer applicants to come from a membership or not-for-profit organisation and prior knowledge of financial crime, fraud prevention or the digital identity markets is advantageous.

Knowledge, skills and experience - Essential

  • Creative and analytical thinking style, tenacious in the face of obstacles, with excellent problem-solving skills and an ability to work professionally to deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with expertise in Microsoft applications, including Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, used to forge strong working relationships across teams, coupled with strong negotiation and influencing skills
  • Skilled in authentically building credibility, trust and influence at all levels.
  • Able to respond positively to change, identifying the need for change and innovation.
  • Strong role model of behaviours consistent with our values of collaboration, integrity, expertise, innovation, and respect.

 

Additional Information

Location – This is a true “work from anywhere” opportunity, with an expectation you may be required to attend meetings and events outside of the normal office base and to do this, occasional travel will be required, which will be fully expensed.
