Cifas is a fraud prevention service based in London, run as a not-for-profit membership association. The business represents organisations from across the public, private and voluntary sectors and currently has over 700 members.

Cifas brings different sectors together for the common goal of eliminating fraud and financial crime. For over 35 years they have provided a secure, legal and effective framework for the real time sharing of high-grade fraud risk data and intelligence. Hundreds of organisations work with Cifas - from high street banks, telcos, and insurers through to the public sector and government - all benefiting from each other’s data, intelligence, and learning. Cifas members share their data and intelligence across sectors to reduce instances of fraud and financial crime.

Cifas has a stated mission “to detect, deter and prevent fraud in society by harnessing technology and working in close partnership with the member organisations.”

Under the direction of a highly inspirational Chief Executive, the business is well underway on the delivery of a 5-year business plan, which will be transformational and will underpin ambitious long term growth targets.

We are delighted to be working with Cifas to recruit a new role of Strategic Member Success Partner (2 positions available), reporting to the Strategic Accounts Director. This is a key role, with the main purpose being the principal relationship management owner of designated top-tier strategic member accounts where you will identify, establish, and maintain meaningful, proactive and progressive engagement.

NB these positions are not sales or business development roles, they are senior roles within the organisation that have responsibility for managing the highest level of relationships with Cifas’ “top tier” members, as such you must have the specific experience required ie senior relationship management AND significant fraud/crime understanding with practical experience.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage and grow a network of senior contacts from within the Top Tier Member organisations using Cifas’ services
  • Map out designated top-tier Member contacts, interactions, aims and objectives
  • Implementing strategic plans for engagement, ensuring account planning is aligned to Cifas sector plans and commercial opportunities
  • Create opportunities for others at Cifas to engage with Top Tier Members
  • Position Cifas as the go-to place for fraud and financial crime solutions to top-tier Members
  • Establish and maintain Cifas as a trusted fraud prevention partner
  • Place Cifas on the fraud strategy and technology road maps of designated top-tier Members
  • Promote adoption of Cifas services and products
  • Deal with issues of non-compliance
  • Promote cross-sector engagement and drive cross-sector value
  • Provide strategic Top Tier Member insight and subject matter expertise

The Person

We are looking for a commercially astute individual with significant and proven experience managing senior relationships. You will have a background in fraud, money laundering or financial crime management functions with a record of delivering results in client retention, client growth and senior account management in a complex, and often technical, environment. You will have a high degree of credibility, with the ability to use your expertise to problem solve and produce creative solutions. Minimum bachelor’s degree level or equivalent qualification but relevant experience acceptable.

You will have excellent communications skills, be a strong influencer, be able to establish trust relationships with senior key individuals and have the ability to engage with a wide range of stakeholders.

Ideally, you will be well networked within financial services, retail, payments, gambling or gaming sectors and have a collaborative partnership mindset. The role is delivered through a matrix approach, and experience of this type of operating model would be an advantage.

You must have significant knowledge of fraud prevention, fraud systems and technology, ideally gained through working at a senior level within a Cifas Member environment, with the gravitas to represent Cifas at the highest level within strategic, Top Tier Member organisations.

Location

This is a work from home role with an expectation to travel into the London office for Leadership Team meetings on a monthly basis, which will be fully expensed.
