Founded in 1985, Comfort Care Services is a specialist care organisation providing support for vulnerable adults with mental health needs, challenging behaviour, learning disabilities and individuals recovering from substance/alcohol misuse and other complex needs.

With a Head Office in Slough and a further site in Uxbridge they are now looking for an experienced Training Academy Manager. The Training Academy Manager reports to the Head of HR and will be accountable for the set up and accreditation of the Academy. The organisation is very proud of the investment and approach they take to the development of their people, and the Training Academy will allow the business to not only train their own staff, but also to be a commercial entity offering accredited social care and management training to other organisations.

This brand-new role offers the role holder the opportunity to:

  • Deliver the business case for the Training Academy
  • To lead the organisation through the end-to-end accreditation process for both social care and management training working in collaboration with external organisations such as City and Guilds
  • Provide oversight into the development of highly engaging training material
  • Look to commercialise the proposition to sell training to other organisations

The ideal candidate will have a track record in the establishment of accredited learning, ideally within social care but other sectors will also be of interest. They will be a highly capable operational manager who has strong commercial and business development skills.

We need someone used to working in a fast-paced environment and who understands and can interpret data to deliver results together with an eye for detail and excellent IT skills, a background in care would be beneficial but not essential.

The role is based in Slough, the salary is negotiable depending on the experience and value you bring to the role together with health care benefits. There will be consideration made to an incentive plan linked to business performance once the Academy has been accredited and trades commercially.
